Meditation involves a choice...to be present in the here and now. It is the practice of training your attention to focus on something. It is the quieting of the mind from its usual chatter. When the mind becomes still and quiet in meditation, we can come to a much deeper understanding of ourselves.
An essential ingredient to leading healthier, more successful, and more fulfilling lives is reducing stress and being able to stay centered in this highly pressured, rushed, and rapidly changing world. The goal of this course is to teach those techniques to help reduce stress and connect with a tranquil, healing internal state.
In this 6 week course, we will explore breathwork and relaxation techniques and discover some of the different types of meditation. Each class will include a time for practice of techniques and a period of meditation.
